I Care – I Don’t
by Michael Feeley
CARE.
Something matters.
It has your attention. You devote great feeling, concern, and interest to deciding what is needed for the well-being or protection of a person or thing, and you hope your care makes things better and that you have a good effect.
Maybe you care about ending discrimination – creating world peace – meeting deadlines – work – yourself – others.
There’s another choice.
I don’t care.
It’s apathy – indifference – neglect – a lack of feeling, interest, or concern about something.
Sometimes it’s wise not to care. (When is that?)
How do these two choices make you feel?
Thanks – Michael (he, him)
