Words are Ubiquitous
by Michael Feeley
THERE ARE WORDS I don’t know and words I hardly ever use. Ubiquitous is one word I seldom use. It means –
“seeming to be everywhere.”
I like the sound of it. It’s delightful to say and gets you thinking fast about what is everywhere – universal – unlimited – omnipresent – widespread.
Air is everywhere – technology – cellphones – people – music – sugar in your diet – work – creativity – animals – resistance – emotions – love – the sun – language – truth – opposites – gratitude – resentment – money – power – climate – beliefs – rituals – cultures – colors – sounds…
Ubiquitous takes you to all kinds of places and people. It’s emotional doing this because not every place or person has food, water, work, health care, a place to live, freedom, safety…
Words matter. Every word you and others speak is a choice.
Words express and connect.
Words are factual, and they create feelings and change.
Words are solid and evanescent.
Words have power – Yes + No.
Your words make you who you are.
May the words we each use have a good effect on people and the world we live in.
P.S. Here is a word I never heard of. I learned it from Chip Conley – novaturiet.
It means – “desiring for powerful change in one’s life, behavior or situation.”

This is also vital to think about – What’s a Good Effect?
