Where is the World Abundant?

by Michael Feeley
Change is always happening, and sometimes it’s more intense. We get challenged and fearful about our well-being in a moment and also wondering about the future as things alter when prices and tariffs increase and disappear, questions about immigration create cultural conflicts, and new rules and procedures disrupt and seem to lack logic and feeling for people.
One thing that helps to make sense is to look around and ask:
Where is the world abundant?
Nature is one awe-inspiring example:
Bee hives are abundant, and so is the product of honey.
Schools of fish.
Flowers bursting forth in Spring.
Rivers flow, and countless waves are in the ocean.
Birds are building nests and having babies.
Farmers markets.
All kinds of products on grocery store shelves.
Art in museums.
Music.
Sports.
People.
Despite lack and turmoil, we have an abundant life with gratitude, even when change can be unbearable or deplorable.
