What’s a Good Effect?
by Michael Feeley
WHAT DOES IT mean to have a good effect on someone?
It’s a conscious hope that your presence, your thoughts, words, actions leave someone better off than they were before
you met them.
It’s a genuine desire to know what specific things will have an encouraging effect on that person and then to make it happen because you want to help someone and have them feel good.
Tipping for service and work well done…
Holding a door…
Teaching something…
Solving a problem…
Being generous…
Spending time caring by asking questions…
Talking…
Listening…
Having empathy, love…
Showing respect…
Offering dignity and kindness…
Hoping to understand what a person feels and wants with a commitment and result that they feel seen and heard.
We all want to have a good effect on another human being’s life.
Whenever I speak to a person, when I’m teaching, walking, shopping, eating in town, writing (like this Daily), I have a chance and a choice to positively affect another people. That is a purpose I’m proud of!
> How much does kindness matter to you?
> How could you bear yourself knowing you had a bad effect on someone?
Thanks – Michael (he, him)
Please share this Daily with others and have a good effect.
