Choices Shape Our Lives

by Michael Feeley
I was studying the life of William James because I did not know much about him.
He was an American philosopher of the late 19th century and considered the ‘father of American psychology.’
He reminded me of the crucial fact that we always have a choice, and our choices and the quality of our thoughts shape our lives. We can adjust the nature of our lives by changing our minds and how we see the world, which also happens when we have a change of heart.
William James said it this way – “The greatest discovery of my generation is that a human being can alter his life by altering his attitudes of mind.”
Now I know much more about him, and the choice to learn has improved my life.
Thanks – Michael (he, him)
