You Make the Choice for Change
by Michael Feeley
Every moment of our lives we’re making choices and commitments to live the best life we can.
Choices to be in or out of something. In or out of ourselves. In and out of a mood. In or out of happiness, relationships, money, breath, work, pain, confusion, creativity, love, respect, integrity.
They’re our stories and either they work for us or they don’t. And the logical miracle is this – we get to decide that –
to live with our narratives or to change them.
This week I received such a gratifying a call and an email from a good friend and artist Michael Reilly to thank me for the
life coaching work I offer on choices and change because it worked for him. He writes:
♦
“Why do we often tell ourselves false narratives?
The moment of waking I said – “I do not feel it. ie: good today.”
Where did this thought come from?
How often does this happen?
What is the reason?
Is there a reason?
“Change the Narrative… Change the Result.” – Michael Reilly
So this morning I awoke with this thought and then decided to change the story because the story was not where I wanted to go for the day—–It is a wonderful day!”
♦
A simple and deep choice to change that worked!
Thank you for this exciting tribute Michael Reilly.
