You Are Always in A Duet
by Michael Feeley
YOU ARE NEVER alone. You are always in a duet with something – a pairing, a duo or a trio or even a full chorus connected to one and many other things. Sometimes there’s harmony, a beautiful blend, and sometimes not.
You and the outside world.
You and change.
You and the ground.
You and air.
You and the sun and night.
You and sleep and dreams.
You and your clothes.
You and a telephone.
You and a computer.
You and another person or people.
You and choices and commitments.
You and work.
You and a pen.
You and a book.
You and a paintbrush.
You and a yoga mat.
You and music.
You and food and water.
You and a chair and a bed
You and thoughts and feelings and emotions.
You and sights, smells, tastes, touches, sounds.
You and pain and regret and empathy and happiness and gratitude and loss and love and… and… and…
Love your nearly endless duet, your story with life. You are not alone.
What duet are you in?
Thanks – Michael (he, him)
