You Are a Day Lily
by Michael Feeley
EVERY DAY I wake up is a new day and new opportunity to be grateful I’m alive and to do the things I love to do – coaching – writing – gardening – being with my partner – working in real estate+++
I’m like a Day Lily that produces new blossoms each day, even though they only last for one day. That’s how it’s true to its name – Day Lily.
A cluster of Day Lilies is abundant and usually blooms (depending on the variety) from early May to August. Then, during the Fall and Winter, it hibernates but always returns in the Spring in greater prosperity. So you can count on that fact of
the Day Lily.
Daylilies stand-out. They don’t hide and keep to themselves.
Each blossom is symbolic of our lives and the ideas, thoughts, actions we have each day – blooms we send out to the world.
Individual commitments.
Creative ideas personally and professionally we want and need to accomplish.
Running errands.
Making telephone calls to clients and friends.
Answering and writing emails.
Preparing meals.
Doing laundry.
Repairs and work at home.
Projects.
Sleeping and waking up – opening and closing – starting and finishing – just like a day lily.
The Day Lily is one of my favorite plants. Especially the yellow Day Lily that stands for joy, love, courage, devotion, transformation, and gratitude.
How are you like a Day Lily with one gorgeous blossom each day?
