Where Can You Do Better?
by Michael Feeley
Consistently, I’m asking myself where I can do better.
I like looking to see where I can improve my life and work.
I usefully criticize myself first to improve and grow rather than point fingers at other people and things. “If it weren’t for this… Why are you stopping me from…”
I begin holding myself accountable for my words and actions.
Where did I fail or make a mistake, and how can I change it?
What is my intention and purpose for change?
What is my hope for change?
What is my new plan for moving forward?
Doing better also includes asking others for their help and observations. I know I can’t improve all by myself.
