Should Be

THIS IS HOW things should be.
This is how life should be.
This is how work should be.
This is how love should be.
There are no guarantees – no ‘should be’s.’
Usually, things are not handed to us. We need to work on them.
Work at living an extraordinary life.
Work at succeeding in our vocations.
Work at love.
‘This is how it is’ can be an excuse. It can be an easy out – a way to quit and not try – to settle for less than we dream about, desire, and yearn for. Then we can end up with ‘good enough,’ allowing the things we want to fade away and not be so urgent and valuable.
It’s a personal choice we each have to make ‘should be’ into actual reality.
And that also means for other people too.
