Repeat Gratitude
by Michael Feeley
You can re-express your gratitude. You’re not cheating, being lazy, or wearing out the same gratitude. You’re honoring the expression and vital emotion of repeat gratitude.
I have a flood of morning glories blooming in an abundance of intense purple, and I don’t miss a morning to admire them with full gratitude. Often taking a photo to hold their beauty and remember the day. They have you instantly, like the world, and live in amazement that the universe could create this plant and this beauty.
It’s been a daily practice of continued gratitude for me for many weeks. Plus, the seeds drop to the earth, and the next year they grow and bloom all over again. The regeneration process has been happening for years. I witness the event always with repeated gratitude.
It’s the same as listening to your favorite piece of music often.
Reading a book you adore again and again.
Frequently reciting a favorite quote that expresses your feelings.
Eating a special food you always order or love to make.
Wearing a shirt or dress you cherish.
Places you visit or live in where you’re happy and comfortable.
You can love your partner, family, and friends without limit, feeling gratitude over and over and over at any time—the continuing opportunity for repeat thanks and liking.
See what I’m saying about the ability and great beauty of repeat gratitude?
It’s a natural. It’s part of our DNA, our essence.
What are you repeatedly grateful for?
