People and Service
by Michael Feeley
I LOVE GIVING and getting good service, so I’m on fire when making a customer happy.
I’m building trust when I listen to what a person wants, and I create a solution for any problem someone has.
How you treat people is the key, and while you focus on the customers who show up to buy your products and services,
that state of caring and respect also applies to the people you work with – your team and vendors.
Here is one of my favorite quotes about customer service by Gandhi. It’s surprising and shows his integrity for humanity:
“A customer is the most important visitor on our premises.
He is not dependent on us. We are dependent on him.
He is not an interruption of our work. He is the purpose of it.
He is not an outsider of our business. He is part of it.
We are not doing him a favor by serving him.
He is doing us a favor by giving us the opportunity to do so.”
