Glass Houses and Lives Can Break
by Michael Feeley
“PEOPLE WHO LIVE in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones” – means people who are imperfect should not criticize others for having similar questions, weaknesses or challenges. They should not point fingers or insult or accuse.
People’s lives, like glass, can also shatter and break easily.
There is no acceptable reason to verbally or physically harm another person. It’s a choice for cruelty – superiority – judgment – hubris – dominance.
Choosing to be unkind to another person to make yourself feel better is the choice of contempt, not respect.
Think about your words and actions and how they affect other people before you speak.
How you treat other people says a lot about your character.
