Caring for Humanity and the Earth
by Michael Feeley
I recently had the privilege to coach a man from Sedona, Arizona, who is a gardener – a landscape designer – a paysagiste (French).
When asked about his work and why he does it, his response was heartfelt and passionate – “ I care for humanity and the earth… I take care of the earth and the people on it.”
What an inspiring and moving reason for his work and career.
This is part of his story, brand, and good name. He proudly shares it with honesty, courage, integrity, positivity, hope, and happiness.
He makes me think of these words by novelist and poet Vita Sackville-West:
“The man who has planted a garden feels that he has done something for the good of the world.”
I’m deeply grateful to have spoken to this man. My life is better off because of him.
What do you do and why do you do it?
Thanks – Michael (he, him)
