Care for Others is Self Care
by Michael Feeley
HOW DOES JUSTICE to other people and things take care of you?
How do you honor yourself by honoring someone else’s work?
– If Argentinian concert pianist Martha Argerich is fair to every note and rhythm of Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No.3 in D Minor, Op.30, using all her skills and emotions, how will she also be true to herself, her creativity, and the people who come to hear her play?
– If American businessman, investor, and philanthropist Warren Buffet (co-founder, chairman, and CEO of Berkshire Hathaway) puts all his energies into running his company and serving his customers. employees, family, and creating profits for investors, how is he living his best life?
– If fashion designer Daniel W. Fletcher (Royal Ascot’s first-ever creative director) is true to the history and ceremony of Ascot, how will his creative design choices celebrate tradition, enable him to be innovative within limits, and promote him?
– If a mother makes projects for her children to learn and have fun with and then shares her creative work with other parents, and they are overwhelmingly grateful and ask for more, how do her kindness and generosity add to her life, add to self-respect, and not lessen her?
The choice for – empathy – kindness – understanding – mind and heartfelt care – knowledge and skills – goodwill – love – all matter and take care of us in the deepest and best ways, personally and professionally.
Thanks – Michael (he, him)
Please share this Daily with your tribes.
