Your Audience Comes First
by Michael Feeley
Your work is for specific people; you must always focus on your audience, customers, and how you serve them.
It’s their story you give full attention to, not yours.
What do people want and expect from you?
What do they hope to see, hear, touch, smell, taste, and that means to be changed (hopefully positively) by your products, skills, services, and authority?
Who do you write for?
Who do you cook your daily special for?
Who do you compose music for?
Who do you coach?
Who do you drive in your taxi?
Who do you help as a doctor, accountant, teacher, or welder?
See what I’m saying – specific work for specific people – clearly identified and defined.
Knowing this and sticking to it helps make life and work easier.
