Every day, we do work that is both planned and spontaneous. It can be described as – whatever will be will be (que sera, sera) based on the idea that nothing happens by chance – everything happens for a reason – c’est la vie (such is life) – let nature take its course – it was fated – go with the flow – it’s in the cards.

The idiom reassures us, even as we take action to solve problems and meet deadlines, by doing our best to alter things and remove stress.

Somehow, we manage to get through things, and remembering how we have succeeded in living through stuff helps us to cope and trust ourselves and the world.
