What Is Your Vintage Way?
by Michael Feeley
How do you define your own maturing? Your becoming? The specific, personal way you age with dignity and intention?
This is not a rhetorical question. It deserves a real answer — written down, made tangible, made yours.
I seriously ask because your Vintage Way is not vague. It has texture and detail. It lives in daily choices, recurring practices, and the particular things that keep you alive, present, and curious.
For me it means staying active in mind, body, and spirit. Meditation. Learning something new every day. Keeping my thinking sharp and my creativity lit. Connecting with people so I am never alone in the process of sageing. Writing and publishing daily. Gardening, cooking, shopping for food with care and pleasure. Reading real magazines and books I can hold in my hands and wonder at. Spending quality time with friends and loved ones. Living in nature.
These are not small things. They are my Vintage Way. They are how I age — not away from life, but deeper into it. On purpose. Because I want to and can.
What’s your vintage practice and process?
Write it all down. Name it. Claim it.
Remember – You are not declining. You are deepening. 50 – 60 – 70 – 80+++
