What Is Life?
by Michael Feeley
Today, I read these words by Chief Crowfoot, and they inspired specific and abundant gratitude for life around me.
“What is life? It is the flash of a firefly in the night. It is the breath of a Buffalo in the wintertime. It is the little shadow which runs across the grass and loses itself in the sunset.”
For me…
It is the speed of a green hummingbird’s wings gathering pollen from a red blossom.
It is the brilliant, searing beam of sunrise at the horizon.
It is the neighborhood cat ‘Newbie’ chatting up a storm for food as I make coffee.
What is life for you today?
Thanks – Michael (he, him)
