Unbuild Not Rebuild
by Michael Feeley
MAYBE IT’S TIME to unbuild as we come out of the pandemic, not rebuild.
For months people have been seeing and trying new social norms – new ways of living and working and making better choices to live the best quality lives they can.
Some of the status quo is changing, and some have a hard time because they’re afraid of change. So they’re holding on to the past, insisting that life return to the old ways instead of unbuilding – carefully taking apart – disassembling – seeing what is working well and what might work better.
Unbuilding is a positive thing. It’s non-destructive because it has planning and empathy in it. Logic and emotion.
Changing the negative into the affirmative.
Change now means you don’t have to do it the way it’s always been done. Instead, we have the opportunity to adapt and change for greater happiness and success.
> Facebook is allowing full-time employees to keep working remotely from home or return to the office.
> Spotify Technology has this model – “Work from Anywhere.”
Unbuild means you have options – new ways to relate and collaborate.
Why struggle to hold on to old ways when you have success right in front of you and can relax, observe and discover the new now that is here and working well.
Maybe now is the way it’s supposed to be.
Thanks – Michael
