The Vintage Playlist – Volume One
by Michael Feeley
These are lines, mantras, and declarations worth exploring and keeping — words from my daily blog on Ageing, Sagerism, and The Vintage Way. Read and enjoy. Something here belongs to you.
1. How you think about ageing determines how you age. The choices you make — daily, deliberately, without waiting for anyone’s permission — are the single greatest factor in whether your later years diminish you or deepen you.
2. Ageing is not a dying off. It is a blooming. The finest wines don’t peak at harvest. The most extraordinary human lives don’t peak at forty. Ageing is the opportunity to flourish into everything you have spent a lifetime becoming.
3. There is a vigorousness to choosing vintage living.
4. Becoming vintage doesn’t mean outdated. It means refined, valuable, sought after — precisely because of the time and care that went into its creation.
5. Vintage is not old. Vintage is valuable.
6. If you’re vintage, there is no finer thing to be.
7. The longer you go, the rarer you become. A living artifact. A relevant relic.
8. Your experience is not behind you. It is you now and onward.
9. I Am Not Done Yet. The Vintage Warrior’s motto.
10. Never stop creating. Never stop giving. That is your vintage potential.
11. Vintageing is not a canceled ticket. It is the continuing adventure of you becoming your true self.
12. Some days are challenging for sagers. The concerns and losses are real. And still — you choose to deepen rather than diminish. That is The Vintage Way. That is the one that matters.
13. Vintage is a word everyone already loves. It asks nothing of you except recognition. Try it on. You already know what it means to hold something vintage in your hands — the weight of it, the beauty of it, the sense that time has only made it more itself. That is what you are. And you are not finished.
14. Welcome to Vintageing. You are not declining. You are deepening.
15. Sagerism…
