The Grand and The Everyday

by Michael Feeley
While honored as a 2025 award-winning finalist in two prestigious categories by the International Book Awards (IBA) for my book The Next Act, I’m cooking lunch, paying bills, weeding the garden, and looking forward to a nap.
Life is filled with opposites – the grand and the ordinary – high praise and basic chores – wonder, awe – grounded in just living moment to moment.
All of it fits together. It’s supposed to. That’s how the world is designed: dualities, big surprises, and the humdrum: the mundane and the glorious.
Homespun… simple… sophisticated… luxury…
Where do you see the opposites working in you and the world?
How do you make sense of them?
