Pride and Hubris

Pride and Hubris

by Michael Feeley March 17, 2022

THERE’S A DIFFERENCE between pride and hubris.

Pride feelings of happiness in your accomplishments because you or someone else did good work.

Hubris – excessive self-praise: ego boasting, arrogance, haughtiness, conceit.

Two different attitudes to the world.

Two choices.

Two feelings and actions in each of us – side by side.

> What is one example of hubris for you?

> What is one thing you’re proud of in your life?

> What do you choose to be run by – honest pride or hubris?
