WHAT DOES IT MEAN for you to play BIG? It’s a question we discuss in executive coaching. It’s the opposite of playing small.

– Big is being generous in all you do.

– Big is stretching your ‘self.’ Having fresh awareness – expansion – openness to new people, places, and ideas – better choices for learning, growing – and changing personally and professionally.

– Playing big is energizing. It encourages you to assess more deeply and accurately who you are, where you are, where you’re heading, and what you want to achieve. It’s creating new adventures inside and outside of yourself.

– Big risks facing doubts and fears, being true to your dreams, not hiding, not listening to your Lizard Brain, but valuing your Inner Mentor.

– It’s feeling confident about negotiations and having challenging conversations.

– It’s being bolder with your bio information and website content.

– Adjusting prices for services and products.

– Being a kinder, deeper listener.

– Treating people with more care and respect and a desire to know who a person truly is.

– Trying different things – blogging, a podcast, creating workshops and videos, updating testimonials.

– Repeating what works well and not being afraid to make mistakes, creating lots of bad ideas to get to the great ones.

– Playing big means playing full out in the game of life, not holding back, giving positive pushes to self and others, and raising the bar higher than usual.

– Full out is not always sprinting at top speed and form. You can’t do that in a marathon and expect to finish or sing full volume in an opera for two or three hours. You’ll burn yourself out. Full out is pacing, being sensible and kind to your body, mind, and spirit, getting needed rest and nourishment, and having a positive attitude.

– Big is being true to who you are as you know yourself, discovering more, and welcoming the unknown in yourself.

– Big is living your truth and your facts and consciously thinking about the impact you want to have on others and the world.

Give yourself permission to Play BIG and Dream BIG because there are great things in you.
