Panic and Prepared

by Michael Feeley
You are never ready for panic, but you are prepared.
Things suddenly happen, and your panic button gets pushed. You don’t have to succumb to panic. You’re more prepared for panic than you know when the world surprises, shocks, and worries you out loud.
Being prepared for panic means valuing your resilience and resourcefulness. Your life experience, knowledge, skills, and expertise enable you to face fear and uncertainty.
Trust yourself that you will find a way to survive instant panic and stress. You have come through all sorts of challenges in the past, which is something to count on and respect yourself for.
Focus on a solution to relax and release from panic. What are the facts, and what can you do right away for relief and security? This will help you avoid drowning in the mounting waves of panic and allow you to float and ride things out.
Take time to assess and understand what is going on. Panic can make you feel tight and out of control, and the option, the flip side answer, is to be composed with as much logic and calm as you can muster.
Panic is resistance. It’s built into our mindset and the systems we live and work in. Look at the daily news. It wants you to panic and be afraid.
Remember, you have choices and other people to ask for help with. You are not alone in panic.
Be ready to observe and find a way out of stress, uncertainty, and the sudden pain of panic.
Know you’re prepared. It opens possibilities and control that can lead you from panic to positive results, freedom, and peace.
