Gossip about Yourself
by Michael Feeley
IF YOU’RE ADDICTED to gossip, why not gossip about yourself for a while instead of other people?
What change happens when you ruthlessly knock yourself down and contemptuously make less of who you are as a human being with a life filled with meaning?
“Did you hear about Michael? He plagiarizes all of his writing, stealing from other people. He hasn’t an original, caring thought in that empty, old head of his. When you talk to him, you realize he has the IQ of a dinner plate and uses his head only
to separate his ears.”
You could also make a kinder choice and gossip with respect – talking only about what you respect in people.
“I respect the fact that Michael writes a Daily Blog and publishes it for others. You can count on Michael. He shows up.
He’s consistent. Ethical. He’s caring and committed to helping others live good lives by using his life coaching skills and
his own life experience.”
Two suggestions for gossipers:
1. Challenge yourself – How long you can go without gossiping about anyone or anything.
2. Every time you gossip with ill will, mention one thing you genuinely respect about the person you talk against.
Thanks – Michael (he, him)
Please share my Daily with your tribes.
