Don’t Limit Yourself
by Michael Feeley
You might have a limiting belief—something you accept about yourself, life, other people, or the world that somehow holds you back.
Maybe you think you have to retire at 65 because the system tells you it’s time to quit and move on. You’re too old to keep going. You had your time, so take all your skills and knowledge and fade away. You have little to offer anymore.
However, what if this is not what you want? What if you create an opportunity at 65 to open a new business, something you have always wanted to do? Would you choose to limit yourself and not try to take action because you’re mature and have that number 65 trying to limit yourself and your dream possibility?
You have freedom—the freedom of choice. You can decide to limit yourself, follow the retirement herd, keep your old head down, and don’t ask questions. You can also be limitless and use your free will to make other choices that stand for you.
See the powerful choice you have not to limit yourself?
Being an oil painter doesn’t mean you can’t draw with a pencil or paint with watercolors.
If you can’t read music, it doesn’t mean you can’t sing.
If you don’t speak French, it doesn’t mean you can’t live in France.
If you write with your left hand, you can also learn to write with your right hand.
If you don’t cook, it doesn’t mean you’ll starve.
The choice to do or not to do is right there. You can become and achieve whatever you want at any time in your entire life. You have unlimited potential.
