Change Monday Morning Dread

Change Monday Morning Dread

by Michael Feeley August 9, 2025

It’s Monday morning. You’re staring at your computer screen, wondering how you’ll make it through the day… the week? Once you felt energized, walking into the office. You can get back to that feeling.

What is one change you’d like to make in your job and work?

How will you move forward to make this a reset win and implement this change?

Perhaps you’d like to be more connected with your colleagues. You want to be helpful and also seek out help because you realize you keep too much to yourself. Eating alone every day at lunch, wondering how the work you once loved became so isolated and dull.

What if you want to renew your feelings about your job and you could walk in tomorrow feeling like it’s your first day again – curious, optimistic, ready to contribute?

Remember when you could explain your job with genuine excitement instead of that generic ‘it pays the bills’ response?

Suppose you rediscover why your work matters, not just for you, but also why it holds value for others.

Maybe you know it’s time to move on – you’ve been secretly browsing job boards, wondering what it would feel like to actually enjoy Monday mornings, to feel you and your work are important and respected.

Or, it’s time to reinvent yourself and build an entirely new career that you’ve dreamed about and yearned for.

You have options.

You have opportunities you can create.

Reset

Renew

Reinvent your career and work.

Pick one change from above. Write it down right now. Take one small action today – send that text to a colleague, update one line of your resume, or pick one person you’d love to work for and research the heck out of them. Learn all you can. Then another action tomorrow.

These small steps are your tactical roadmap out of Monday morning dread.
