Ask Empowering Questions
by Michael Feeley
Empowering questions are usually open-ended. They encourage people to think, talk, and discover what they are feeling and looking to do in life and work.
They usually do not have yes or no answers but seek clarity. They’re meant to be challenging, probing, and solution-oriented, enabling a person to find answers and create opportunities.
Such as:
– Why is this important to you?
– What do you need to get that done?
– What value is that to you?
– How would you have to shift your thinking to achieve that goal?
– What would you do if you had the time and money to make your dream work?
– What are you resisting?
– Where are you settling?
When seeking answers, please write down some empowering questions to yourself, then answer them to get clear and find direction.
