Your Favorite Word
by Michael Feeley
– WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE word and why?
– Do you remember the first time you heard it or saw it?
– How does it describe you?
My favorite word is – peripatetic.
A peripatetic life or vocation means you travel around, living and working in places for short periods.
I first heard the word in 1975, seeing the Broadway musical – A Chorus Line.
You hear peripatetic in the closing dance number “ONE” –
“… She walks into a room, and you know she’s uncommonly rare, very unique, peripatetic, poetic and chic.”
It feels good to say peripatetic! I love the patter and pace – the rhythm moves quickly, in precise, little bursts.
I’m peripatetic throughout my life and workday as I move from one experience and project to another. Doing work I love – creating and shipping and offering positivity, service, and solutions to other people, hoping to make lives better as a
Life – Career – Change Coach.
Your turn.
Thanks – Michael (he, him)
