Who Gives You Courage?
by Michael Feeley
Who gives you courage?
Who gives you inspiration and purpose at this time?
Why?
I have a good friend who works for the CDC – Center for Disease Control and Prevention – and when I think of all she is doing in the world, her knowledge, courage and empathy gives me courage. She makes me feel safe and hopeful about life now and in the future.
I’m proud of her. She’s leading. On the front lines, physically and emotionally. Working inside creating ideas and procedures and outside traveling, visiting hospitals and health facilities to learn and encourage everyone she connects with. Creating solutions and getting results. She has a brilliant mind and a kind heart. An incomparable combination in any person. So needed and appreciated.
I see her as a champion and scientist because she’s making a difference. Showing up to do her best because that’s how she lives her life.
The respect, love and gratitude I have for her gives my life hope and meaning.
I think that’s what having a hero in your life means:
- How they make things better for other people
- Awakening to what matters most in life
- Seeing another person giving and creating change
- Making a difference in the face of challenging life situations
- Caring and generous
Name Your Hero and then…
Give them a call or send a letter or a prayer and tell them why you feel they’re remarkable and why you’re grateful to them.
Thanks – Michael
Please send this post out to your tribes which are filled with heroes.
