WearYour Heart on Your Sleeve
by Michael Feeley
As far back as I can remember, I have worn my heart on my sleeve, meaning I willingly and openly show my emotions to people instead of hiding them.
It’s been healthy for me to be honest about my feelings in life and work – as a person, actor, headhunter, life coach, and writer.
Even when my bosses in recruiting and staffing told me that caring so much was detrimental to my work and that I should leave my emotions at the door, I couldn’t because people were my business. They deserved as much feeling as I could muster as I worked to know them and find them jobs.
I encourage you to wear your heart on your sleeve. Humanity deserves it, and you can come through with unlimited empathy and understanding for people.
Thanks – Michael (he, him)
