Underestimate and True Value
by Michael Feeley
Where do you believe people underestimate you?
Where do you underestimate yourself?
The two questions are related.
When we underestimate ourselves (practically in any way), maybe knowledge, skills, expertise, and usefulness in solving problems for people, we inadvertently send a message to others. They may have a valid point when saying, ‘You underestimate yourself.’
This realization can be a powerful motivator for change, inspiring you to learn not to disparage or underrate yourself, not to play small, but to make a better choice and live the vital truth of who you are.
It’s not bragging to live this way. It’s not arrogance living by the facts of who you are. It’s honesty. Integrity means to value yourself truly and be authentic.
