Solving the Unknown
by Michael Feeley
ONE THING I loved and was good at was Algebra. I loved solving the unknown. The science of formula was thrilling to help answer an equation, and I also thought about this – putting real-life variables into equations and then figuring things out.
Algebra shows we do not have to fear the unknown and that there is an answer, a fact to discover somewhere.
Every day we live in the unknown. It’s all around us. We usually don’t think about it, and when we do, we reasonably hope things turn out well. That our dreams and wishes come true.
Countless unknown opportunities are waiting for each of us. We meet the unknown in business, art, performance, sports, government, health, finances, family, friends, relationships+++, unaware if we will succeed or fail.
There is fear, risk, and thrill in the unknown. It’s incredible how fast the unknown can change into the known.
> Forrest Gump says it. “Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you’re gonna get.”
Anais Nin – “Throw your dreams into space like a kite, and you do not know what it will bring back,
a new life, a new friend, a new love, a new country.”
We can learn to trust the unknown. Come to count on the mystery and puzzle of living. We can even come to like
the unknown – see it as kind and friendly.
Why not try to welcome the unknown and not be afraid?
The unknown will let you know what you are capable of.
