Self-Kindness is Crucial to Your Welfare

Self-Kindness is Crucial to Your Welfare

by Michael Feeley January 25, 2022

KINDNESS IS HELPING someone, being friendly and generous, and thinking about what another person needs and deserves.

Kindness can be fierce when you don’t allow someone to hurt themselves or you.

Frequently, if not all the time, we neglect ourselves, forgetting to be kind to ‘me’ and knowing exactly what that means.

> Saying no more often to other people and things and saying yes to yourself.

> Doing the things you love that inspire and lift you up.

> Caring for and being true to your heart values and the quality of your life.

> Positive self-talk with kind thoughts and loving, empowering words and actions.

> Setting aside a specific time every day to nourish and restore yourself with mediation, exercise, good food and rest,
spending time with the people you love. All to create and fortify your positive mental and physical changes.

Self-kindness is a choice.

Self-kindness is selfishness in the very best meaning of the word.

Self-kindness is ego and self-love at their all-time best.

It makes sense to me that if you are focused on your welfare, that you’re strong, empathetic, and kind to yourself, you’ll be able to be strong, empathetic, and kind to other people.

Test it out. See what happens.
