Playing with Water
by Michael Feeley
“You’re playing with fire” – we all know this warning. It means taking foolish risks that invite trouble. Cheating. Lying. Cutting corners. Breaking promises.
But what’s the opposite? Not just avoiding danger – that’s passive.
Consider this: When you play with fire, you risk getting burned. When you play with water, you cleanse, refresh, sustain life itself.
Truth-telling is playing with water. Keeping your word is playing with water. Acting with integrity is playing with water.
Fire may seem exciting, but it destroys. Water may seem ordinary, but it’s essential for everything that grows.
Which are you playing with today?
