People Who Serve People
by Michael Feeley
“A customer is the most important visitor on our premises.
He is not dependent on us. We are dependent on him.
He is not an interruption on our work. He is the purpose of it.
He is not an outsider on our business. He is part of it.
We are not doing him a favor by serving him.
He is doing us a favor by giving us an opportunity to do so.” – Mahatma Gandhi
I love these words. They express me as a life coach, real estate broker and writer – a person in service to the needs and
dreams of other people.
Gandhi was a professional.
He showed up every day and probably even when he didn’t feel like showing up because of the adversity he faced
but he cared and took action. Look how he cared for humanity!
Gandhi had a big, compassionate vision about the changes and difference in people’s lives and the world he wanted to make. He was committed to his dream.
Professionals do things like that.
Professionals know what they stand for.
They do the necessary work. Consistently and with heart to achieve what they are after.
Thanks – Michael
