Optimist and Pessimist

by Michael Feeley
You can be an optimist.
You can be a pessimist.
You can be both if you choose to be.
See problems and/or see possibilities.
Both have pleasure. But what is the pleasure about?
Here’s what each looks like.
“There are an abundance of things I’m grateful for and respect that make my life really good, even when things can be out of whack and I’m pressured and tired. Optimism makes me strong.”
“I’m just going to have a bit (or a tsunami) of negativity, resentment, and contempt for a world that is harsh and for people who get in my way. It feels so good.”
You have a choice at every moment how you will live in the world and treat other people, including yourself.
The crucial question is this: What effect will your choices to be an optimist or a pessimist have on you and also other people?
Be honest about the consequences of your decisions.
It’s something worth studying and testing. And if you already have the answer, then Bon Voyage.
