Importance and Achievements

Importance and Achievements

by Michael Feeley January 3, 2024

WHAT’S IMPORTANT?

Job title, amount of money you earn, running your own business, kind of home and neighborhood you live in, the car you drive, number of vehicles you own, having a boat, brands, and type of clothing you wear, where you shop and eat, where you vacation, the schools you go to, degrees, grades, family, friends, and connections, having a Wikipedia page.

Only you can answer what makes you feel important – what matters – what makes you happy – what makes you feel successful – because it’s based on your needs and values. Values include life experience, being of service, how much you care for others, your effect on people and the world, trust, kindness, generosity, love, integrity+++

Your choices create your life.

Some needs and wants can be ‘importance traps’ where you get stuck in the status quo of acquiring and what success should look like because of the media and social judgment when it may not be the truth for your true happiness.

What is achievement and importance for you?

What will have you feel – “I’m happy. I like my life. I have what I need and want. I have enough.”
