How Open-Minded Are You to Change?
by Michael Feeley
I don’t see much difference between a practice and a routine.
Commitment and trust (for yourself and the process) are critical, as are flexibility and mindset in your practice’s success.
You might have a daily writing routine, one for exercise, nutrition, meditation, production work, teaching, training.
How flexible are you when something unplanned happens?
How open-minded are you to change?
Whatever goes right or wrong in your practice, you have the choice to invent and change – to up your game or
to put things on hold, maybe quit, and do nothing.
A disruption might help you discover a new pattern that makes your practice surprisingly better.
Practice or routine are always there for you at any time, to learn and grow and help others do the same.
It’s at the center of a practice or routine because you’re going somewhere, and the process gets you there.
How willing are you to change with a sudden change to your practice and routine?
