How Awake Do You Choose to Be?
by Michael Feeley
YOU WAKE UP from sleep. Awake to your life and the world around you. It’s a choice to be awake – clear without doubts or confusion.
Awake to living in the moment. Alive – Present – Aware – Alert – Focused – Centered – Caring – to what is here and now. Honoring life now where you are truly alive. (Not in the past and not in the future.)
You choose to see what is going on, where and how you live.
Your senses clue you in – sight – taste – touch – hearing – smelling.
What does it mean to be awake?
When do you feel genuinely awake?
What are you doing that will have you feel awake?
It is easier for some people to choose not to be awake. Not to be present. To stall being awake to the truth. Ignore what is happening—delay change and work to improve things—faking away.
You can shine from wherever you are. Decide and commit to being awake as a star in your work – the services and products you offer or be less than you deserve to be.
You can coast – sit on the sidelines – stay on hold – wait in the dark wings hiding, unknown – be care-less – forgettable, instead of picking yourself and stepping into the spotlight to say – “This is who I Am. I stand for this and this and this.”
