Happiness Surprises Us
by Michael Feeley
HAPPINESS COMES TO us in ways we may not even notice.
Happiness can be the smallest of gifts in our lives.
> Today I watered some flowers and vegetables (roses, lavender, and tomatoes) in my backyard garden, and I was so happy to watch the plants pick up and become strong and fresh.
> This afternoon I met my neighbor’s new dog ‘Misty.’ A joyful black cocker spaniel. She was happy, and so was I.
> While listening to music, I was suddenly surprised and deeply moved to hear a recording of Jacqueline du Pre’ playing Boccherini’s Cello Concerto in B flat.
Make a conscious choice to see what makes you happy during your day. What an amazing effect it will have on you.
