Gifts and Giving
by Michael Feeley
WE ALL HAVE gifts (natural abilities and skills), and we can give those gifts freely to show how much we care, helping other people live well and be happy, and making the world a better place.
You might also give a physical gift (or get a gift) for a special occasion or holiday celebration.
Some of the natural gifts (deep feelings and choices) can be – giving generous thought to others – respect – friendship – empathy – honest praise – fair and kind criticism – understanding – love.
For me they are the most valuable and meaningful gifts in the world, and they can be given frequently with ease and
deep pleasure.
Remember the saying you learned growing up:
“It’s not the gift. It’s the thought that counts.” – American author – Henry van Dyke
What gift will you give to someone today that will make a difference?
Give it your best thought. Then, make your gifts for meaningful change count.
Thanks – Michael (he, him)
