Commitment
by Michael Feeley
COMMITMENT MEANS YOU agree to do something – for yourself, or other people, work, relationships, cultural values and it’s usually for a positive change.
You have a belief when you commit.
You stand for something.
When you commit, there’s a dedication to a cause, an activity, or a goal.
There’s an obligation.
You make a promise.
You pledge something.
Commitment is a responsibility.
There’s allegiance when you commit.
You’re loyal and faithful.
You take action.
When I commit to something, I challenge myself to learn and grow. I’m looking for a change, setting new goals, and
pushing myself to go further, to do more than expected.
I’m creating a new habit.
I work hard.
I’m driven to live a dream.
There are no excuses.
There are no ‘maybes’ in my commitment.
No partiality, no part-time or half-hearted try. I play full out to get results because something matters to me, and the responsibility is weighty.
I love commitment and the fun that goes with the work.
The choice in commitment is this: You’re all in or out.
