Coaching = Change
by Michael Feeley
Coaching is a proven process to help people get from where they are to where they want to be.
The genre of coaching includes Executive Coaching and Life Coaching. Both are related. Both include change.
Executive coaching focuses on professional development, strategic decision-making, individual and team management leadership skills, and organizational performance and growth in an executive’s role.
Life coaching focuses on personal and professional growth, self-awareness, and achievement, where you tap into your inner potential and connect with outer goals that create extraordinary and sustainable results.
See the relationship? Both are about awareness – setting goals – solving problems – achieving positive results called success.
I value these words by best-selling author and Executive Coach Robert Hargrove since I first read them while studying to be a coach 15 years ago with iPEC – Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching. Robert has profoundly encouraged my life and vocation as an Executive Coach.
“Masterful coaching involves helping people in groups transform themselves, their communities, and their world.
It involves impacting people’s visions and values as well as helping them reshape their way of being, thinking, and actions.
It involves challenging and supporting people in achieving higher levels of performance while allowing them to bring out the best in themselves and those around them.”
