Appreciate – Thanks – Gratitude –

Appreciate
Thanks
Gratitude
What do these words mean to you?
What do they do to you when you speak them out loud? A few times. Try it now with care. Listen and feel what happens.
I appreciate you…
I thank you…
I’m grateful for…
When I spoke the words, I was flooded with emotion, and specific people and things came to mind – nearly endless, empowering, calming, and exciting all at once.
Gratitude is such an important emotion and fact in my life, every single day.
We can be very detailed about our appreciation, thanks, and gratitude. And we should be.
I appreciate my osteopath, Dr. Gombert, for helping to align my back and neck and giving me much more freedom and flexibility.
I thank Nicola for his expertise in replacing doors and windows, and for the many other ways he cares for our home: painting, installing insulation in the attic.
I’m grateful for paved roads, sunshine, electricity, clocks that chime, Chinese food from the Thursday farmers market.
When we are open to thanks, it is much more likely to appear to us. And when we offer it to others, there is much more to give and celebrate.
Your turn. Who or what do you appreciate?
Thanks – Michael (he, him)
