Ambitious for What?
by Michael Feeley
AMBITION IS A DESIRE to achieve something. It might be a notion of success – a drive, a dream, intention, goal, purpose, plan, mission, longing, vocation.
Ambition is knowing what you want and then going after it.
The purpose of your ambition is the crucial question.
*Do you honor yourself with your ambition or sell yourself out?
*For the world or against it?
*Justice or not?
*Harm or helping?
*Generous or destructive in your thoughts, words, and deeds?
Successfully crossing the street is an ambition – getting into Radcliff – falling in love – playing the piano well –
charming people – getting a free lunch – showing someone up – ruining someone’s reputation – getting your way.
See the choices you have?
