Why Do I Take So Many Seth Godin Workshops?

Why Do I Take So Many Seth Godin Workshops?

by Michael Feeley December 24, 2020

No one challenges me more than international bestselling author and marketing genius Seth Godin.

His Akimbo Workshops are the best organized and most well attended that I have experienced with an exceptional cohort of people from all around the globe who are eager to learn and help you achieve what you’re looking to do. Generosity and knowledge abound here. It’s the river of life and learning.

Seth guides you to discover answers

He asks you to do the work, and when you do, you’ll see the truth of what he is teaching and the possibilities you can create in your life and work, plus – a bundle of other unexpected assets, changes, and new opportunities for you.

You’ll find confidence, imagination, and stimulation in every video and prompt. The knowledge is accurate and valuable and will create the change you hope for (been searching for) to fulfill your dreams and get you where you want to go.

Get off hold

If you commit and do the work, play full out (not sitting on hold waiting for instructions), you’ll see results from the
first prompt – building your business and improving your life. And if you’re not sure where you’re going or what you truly want, you’ll have time to find that out too. You can take action in your life and ask for help to find your way.

Go ahead – test it all. I have found every principle to be true, and I keep experimenting and being fully satisfied.  As Seth says:
ABT – Always Be Testing.

Face your resistance

You’ll be seen and heard in the Akimbo Workshops if you want to be. You can face your fears and nagging resistance that tries to ruin your originality, success, and goals.

Seth has been there. He walks and lives in your shoes with humility and pride – using his life experiences to help you be your true self. It’s in all Seth has written and created. He’s lives in integrity. He is a true teacher who wants you to live your BEST life. Not to comply and behave but to step into your most creative, dazzling, and unique self – personally and professionally.

What I love most in Seth’s work

  • His brilliance
  • Creativity
  • Endless giving
  • Unlimited benevolence
  • Genuine care and respect for the possibilities of people

All of it lights your desire to show up and give too because what you’re learning fits and feels so good, you want others to feel it also. It’s what we all were born to do – give and share and grow into our best selves.

Seth gets you back on track and often aims you in a better direction by opening up new possibilities and a safe place to try and discover – try and explore – try and invent – try and fail – and if you stumble, to get back up and keep going with new intentions and visions. He frees you from complacency and mediocrity.

The materials are top-notch – pure science and some real magic. Breathtaking! Like the feeling of coming home.

Seth thinks about what people want and need to hear and challenges you to learn new ideas, new ways of seeing the world, people, and your self. I get an incredible mind stretch workout that also gets right into my heart, unleashing gratitude and wonder for what I’m learning and what adventures there can be.

Yes! Seth Godin and his workshops are this good!

You bet I’m gushing, and with sincere enthusiasm based on the facts and positive results I have experienced. It’s all the truth.

12 specifics

♦ I learned how to find my Smallest Viable Audience (SVA) and then to market to them. Not spamming at them but gaining their trust and permission to connect because they believe in the services I have to offer.

♦ I learned how to have empathy for people. Understanding how a person sees the world. What they hunger for, doubt and fear, even if they want something different from what I want. It’s the emotional labor of hoping to know another person.

♦ I learned how to get better clients, so I don’t have to sell myself short and bargain my values and skills down to the bare bone for work. Not offering cheap, cheap, cheap but presenting quality attitude, skills, and solutions that people want to pay for.

♦ I learned what real creativity is and where it comes from in me – the choice for creativity – and the work I love doing – how to trust my abilities and knowledge, and be bold. I dare to act on my life and abandon self-control.

♦ I learned endless new things about who I am and why I do what I do.

♦ Here are two favorite principles that never let me down in everything I do, from coaching to writing:
Who’s It For? – and – What’s It For?

♦ Seth challenged and taught me and others how to create a daily writing practice “make it and ship it”, where I produce content and publish every day to be expressed and help other people live the lives they dream of—doing work that matters with effect. (Today is day #325.)

♦ I learned how to be a professional – “To show up even when I don’t want to.” (TCW) Not as a hack or hobbyist looking for a fast answer or buck. But to solve the problems of the people I was born to serve because I can, and they deserve it.

♦ “Not to play the notes as written” (TCW) but to go beyond and play the deep and best original me; creating with freedom, going right to the edges and beyond and, if I fail, how to regroup – reset – reinvent myself.

♦ I’m a high bar player and I learned to raise the bar even higher on the services I offer because I’m confident in who I am and what I have to give, which means caring enough to please my clients and fans beyond what they expect and to keep learning.

♦ I AM a work in process and motion, and that is perfectly AOK with me.

♦ I’m learning to be an artist as I write and sell real estate and coach. To do work I’m proud of – meaningful work that is making for the changes I hope to make in my self, individual people and the world.

All these content offerings and the amazing people booked on the same voyage, have changed me for the better – helped me be who I want to be and live as I want to live.

I’m humbled and grateful that in January 2021, I will begin new work as an Akimbo Workshop Coach.
I’m in awe that my life should come to this honor and vital work.

There you have it. Some nuggets for why I take so many Seth Godin workshops and thrive!

Thanks – Michael
