The Authentic You
by Michael Feeley
Who are you?
What makes you you?
How do you describe yourself, I am…
(Fill in the first thing that comes to your mind.)
“I am a learner and a teacher” (my first thought).
How does it make you feel and is it true?
“I feel good. Happy. Grateful. Proud and yes. it is true.”
I’m getting at the essence of who you are – your ‘self’ – the authentic you.
Thanks – Michael
Why this photo? Things can be simpler to understand when they are black and white; often creating vivid clarity with depth and details. Bridges are kind and useful. Bridges connect – one thing to another – one side of something to another – one place to another. Bridges are symbolic of self. They assist us in the journey or path we are traveling on in life.
- How do bridges help you get to what you want?
- How do they help you to know who your are?
If you give the photo color what happens? How does color add or take away from the black and white photo above?
- What does color say about the self of a person?
After all – we are full of life and desires and ideas and feelings. The colors of who we are. People are not just black and white.
Please share this post to help each of us know ourselves better.
